Baseball, Volleyball and the Hair Dude

Flapjack had his opening ceremonies today. No matter that it was 36 degrees and blowing wind; we were at the ballpark watching him play. (okay, I wasn't actually there...I was in the comfort and quiet of the hair salon...but I thought about him, does that count?) Flapjack plays catcher and the pitcher is actually a pitching machine. He only got hit once this game...a nice round bruise on his arm. He's tough, he didn't even cry. He got a hit and his team tied so it was a good day...but way too cold. (And I had to suck it up and work the concession stand. Guess who signed me up for that one?)
DQ and I had our first volleyball game today. I thought she was going to throw up from nerves but she survived. She did not get a serve over the net, actually, she did not get a serve near the net but she did manage to return a serve. She was proud. So was I. We won...two games in a row.

It is now official. I seriously heart my hair dude. He made me blonde...really, really blonde. He is the greatest.

About Me
I'm a wife, a mom, an educator and a normal (okay, relative term here) person who makes frequent mistakes. I have a lot to say, hence the blog. My kids were adopted as babies (one through an agency and one through the foster care system). I love to talk about adoption. My daughter has sensory issues as well as ADHD. I like to vent about parenting. I am occasionally rosy, usually blunt and sometimes I am simply downright rude. Don't read if it offends you. I may sometimes write about my school experiences so let me cover my bases. I don't live in your town, I don't work at your school, I am not talking about your child, you don't know me. If you think you've figured out who I am...ask me, I will lie and say you don't know me. email me at chocolatecoffeesleep@hotmail.com
