Sleepovers
Girls and their sleepovers. DQ had a friend spend the night last night. Here's what that meant for DQ:
- staying up late
- taking a swimsuit bath so they can pretend they are at the beach...whatever
- eating too much junk
- having spa night complete with foot baths, pedicures, manicures and make up
- trying on every outfit she owned to pick just the right thing to wear to go shopping today
- fun, fun, fun...until the late night catches up and makes her grouchy
Here's what a sleepover means for me:
- staying up late...cause the girls are too noisy for me to sleep
- buying too much junk and eating the leftovers
- cleaning up after spa night...nail polish on the magazines, the floor, the table and the towels
- make up on...well...pretty much everything
- clothes strewn everywhere
- shopping with two giggly girls who want everything they see (but only actually got nail polish)
- grouchy daughter...who must do homework...and read 6 books for AR...by Monday
Flapjack recovered from his bonked head. He only has a small knot and small cut. He had a sleepover at a friend's last night. Bedtime will be early tonight for everyone!

About Me
I'm a wife, a mom, an educator and a normal (okay, relative term here) person who makes frequent mistakes. I have a lot to say, hence the blog. My kids were adopted as babies (one through an agency and one through the foster care system). I love to talk about adoption. My daughter has sensory issues as well as ADHD. I like to vent about parenting. I am occasionally rosy, usually blunt and sometimes I am simply downright rude. Don't read if it offends you. I may sometimes write about my school experiences so let me cover my bases. I don't live in your town, I don't work at your school, I am not talking about your child, you don't know me. If you think you've figured out who I am...ask me, I will lie and say you don't know me. email me at chocolatecoffeesleep@hotmail.com
