Mammograms and Volleyball
What a way to start the week, getting my boobs (can I say boobs on a blog...where's the etiquette fairy when I need her?) anyway, getting my boobs smashed by a giant machine. The sweet lady doing the films kept saying, "Is it getting tight?" TIGHT?? Are you kidding? I could barely breathe. So they took 2 pictures on one side and 5 on the other...hmmmm...that can't be normal. The tech wasn't offering any info...but I do have a brain in my head. They must of seen something. I suppose time will tell.
So DQ has decided to play volleyball. This is a big deal. DQ doesn't like to be looked at by others. I know, I know, doesn't really fit with her drama girl personality. Sports just aren't her thing so I was pleasantly surprised when she said she wanted to play. We signed her up and the fun began. They didn't have enough coaches...would I? could I? sure, why not give myself a weekly migraine. I am now her coach. DQ and her dad are out buying knee pads and wrist bands. I tried to explain wrist bands weren't necessary but she doesn't like the "way the ball feels" when it hits her wrists...... Yeah, this should be fun.
Saw The Reader today. Interesting movie...but when did full frontal nudity start rating an R? Can we make movies without that?

About Me
I'm a wife, a mom, an educator and a normal (okay, relative term here) person who makes frequent mistakes. I have a lot to say, hence the blog. My kids were adopted as babies (one through an agency and one through the foster care system). I love to talk about adoption. My daughter has sensory issues as well as ADHD. I like to vent about parenting. I am occasionally rosy, usually blunt and sometimes I am simply downright rude. Don't read if it offends you. I may sometimes write about my school experiences so let me cover my bases. I don't live in your town, I don't work at your school, I am not talking about your child, you don't know me. If you think you've figured out who I am...ask me, I will lie and say you don't know me. email me at chocolatecoffeesleep@hotmail.com
